As we reflect on the tumultuous past year, I am nonplussed at the fortune of getting to play with Wake Eastman throughout this time. Making music with him has been a light of celebration. I hope our music has offered a glimmer of hope and excitement. Or at least, just made a moment a little brighter for the listener. A special thanks to Harry Levine for this video.

Wake and I rolled up that ol’ 87 to Midland for our annual crawfish gig. While the Midland landscape might be my least favorite place on the planet, the folks are fine, the crawfish is cooked, and there’s enough lettuce to get me there.
Comments closedThe great Texas musician, Wake Eastman, has just released his latest album Crazy Moon. I play harmonica on a number of tracks and am humbled to appear with such amazing musicians including Kurt Baumer on fiddle, Chris Reeves on lead guitar and Walter Cross on drums. You can get it here.
Comments closedWell, the Homesick Hound Dogs finally recorded our second album, and it was worth the wait. We teamed with an incredible studio in Connecticut called Dirt Floor Recording headed by music great Eric Lichter. I think we got something special on tape. You can find out for yourself when the album is released this Fall.
Comments closedPlaying South by Southwest in Austin with Helen Rose was a thrilling experience. I had an amazing time reconnecting with Helen and trading solos with my NYC bandmate, JP Henry. Austin is home for me so to have family and friends come listen made the event even more special.
Comments closedLast week, JP and Voodoo Blues, played our monthly residency at the Strand Smokehouse. Something special was cooking that night too. It was a live recording that you can listen to here for free.
I am proud of this work and am grateful for the chance to play with such wonderful people and musicians. I hope you enjoy!
